African-American Experience at the 2016 Annapolis Film Festival

AFF2016_5 April 2, 2016 – SOGAA participated in a great discussion led by Ambassador Attallah Shabazz, the eldest of six daughters born to Dr. Betty Shabazz and El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, better known as Malcolm X at the Annapolis Film Festival. The panel was comprised of filmmakers in the African-American experience shorts program at the festival and was presented by former Baltimore City Mayor Kurt Schmoke. We also saw the extraordinary film “Becoming Bulletproof” about an unstoppable group of differently abled actors who star in a western film. A powerful documentary using humor and honesty to shine a light on those who are often misunderstood and underestimated. ‪#‎SOGAA‬ ‪#‎BIBFF‬ ‪#‎ReelUnity‬ ‪#‎AnnapolisFilmFestival‬‪#‎TalkMovieToMe‬ ‪#‎truebrotherlylove‬
